
Ted Schredd
Hey there, my name is Ted Schredd. I am a Canadian adventurer and photographer. I love to enjoy life, and take great joy in the most simple of pleasures and one of those pleasures is taking pictures.
I have been taking pictures since I was ten years old, and now, in my mid forties, I still love to snap the photos. I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta and when I finished high school I bolted to Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies to start a business videotaping skiers on vacation. It was there where I met travelers from all over the world that infected me with a nasty travel bug that I haven't been able to get rid of. I travel every opportunity that I get and I always take my camera.
I have had an interesting path in life - but to make a long story short... here is the highlight reel:
1988- 92
Worked in Lake Louise and Vancouver BC as a videographer on skis.
1992 - Summer
Frisbee Teacher
1992 - 93
Cycled from Vancouver to Key West Florida and back (13,000 km).
1993 - 1995
Worked at Z-95.3FM, Vancouver as a Traffic Reporter on A Bicycle.
1995
Published "The Cycling Adventures of Coconut Head" the story of my big bike trip.
1996-97
Cycled through England, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.
1998
Was a Host on a Breakfast Show for Vancouver Television.
1999 - 2001
Worked as a Travel Photographer for Intrawest Holidays - traveling to Canada, USA, Mexico and the Caribbean.
2002 - 2004
Published and promoted "Grandma Knows the F Word" a book for Adults on how to have more fun in life.
2004 - Current
Built and Host www.discoverfun.com.
2006 - Current
Connected with a bunch of Independent Restaurants and started doing food photography and websites.
2009 - Current
Built and Host www.funresearcher.com.
2010 Summer
Rode Bicycle to Los Angeles from Canada.
